Our Houston Hub is seeking a Business Manager to support our rapid market expansion. This entry-level Business Manager role is ideal for individuals with some experience in the oil & gas or renewable energy sectors, who are eager to grow and make an impact. Join the largest global consulting company specializing in program and project management services and solutions, and build your career in a vibrant, fast-paced market.

Projected Start Date: January 2025

In this role, you will develop and expand our business and network, fostering relationships with clients, candidates, and consultants across industries. As an entry-level Business Manager, you’ll focus on the following key areas:

Business Development: You’ll play a critical role in building and managing client relationships in the energy and capital projects sectors. Identify opportunities for growth, and be proactive in developing new business through your energy and urgency. You’ll help sell premier Project Management services and build your portfolio.

Management and Recruitment: Partner with our Talent Acquisition team to interview and hire top talent to support your growing team. As a leader, you’ll focus on coaching and guiding consultants and new hires, empowering them to reach their potential. This role will build foundational skills for management and team development, without the need for Profit Center Management responsibilities.

  • Experience: Ideally, you have 1-2 years of experience in the oil & gas or renewable energy sector, with experience in project controls, capital projects, or engineering. A degree in Engineering (preferably) is a plus. You might already be an MP Consultant looking to take the next step, or a recent graduate with experience in energy-focused projects.
  • Communication: You're capable of listening and applying feedback effectively. You're driven by a desire to solve problems and deliver results. You are eager to ask insightful questions that lead to better solutions, without overcomplicating the process.
  • Growth Mindset: You’re motivated to develop yourself and your team, with the potential to take on more responsibility as your career progresses.

What to Expect During the Interview Process:

  • Introductory Call: A 15-20 minute conversation with our Talent Partner to get to know you and understand your fit for the role.
  • In-Person Interview: A 1-hour interview with the Hub Business Unit Manager to discuss how your experience aligns with our team’s needs and culture.
  • Virtual or In-Person Interview: A 1-hour interview with the Regional Director to dive deeper into your capabilities and vision for the role.
  • Coffee Chat: A 30-minute coffee chat with the U.S. Business Director for Business Management.
  • Microsoft Teams Interview: A 1-hour virtual interview with the U.S. Country Manager to ensure you're the right fit for the bigger picture.

(Depending on availability, the last two meetings could be combined.)
